Gate Access: Daily
Harmony’s Note
"Do I need to pay for PreCheck for my teenagers?" "Can my kids still go through PreCheck with me?" "Why didn't my child get PreCheck on their boarding pass this time?"
These questions are popping up more frequently as families encounter unexpected situations at TSA checkpoints. I was in the airport, and I witnessed this change live. A family member was denied access to PreCheck because he (16 years of age) didn’t have it on his boarding pass.
Many parents are worried they'll need to spend hundreds of dollars enrolling their entire family in PreCheck, while others are confused when their teenagers—who previously traveled through PreCheck with them with no issue—are suddenly directed to standard screening lanes.
Let's clear up the confusion.
