Gate Access is written for first-time and seasoned flyers. No matter your experience level, you will learn something because I pride myself on sharing information that is not commonly known.
What can you expect?
Gate Access is primarily a weekly newsletter. Subscribers should expect emails every Monday by noon Eastern time. The newsletter covers an array of areas and hot topics surrounding travel. Expect to receive travel tips related to security and airlines; quality travel offers on services and products, and breakdowns of security and airline terms and conditions.
Each issue is written by me (Caleb), and the subject matter will change weekly depending on what I believe is important to know at the time.
Gate Access started as a hobby, but now it’s my primary form of work. Although this is my job now, I don’t view it as such because I am passionate about educating travelers and creating awareness of issues that have plagued this industry for decades. And not to brag—but I’m privy to a lot of inside information that has allowed me to share such valuable stuff.
Who is Caleb Harmon-Marshall?
I’m a dynamic and unorthodox figure in the travel space, best known for my unhinged videos on TikTok, and my videos have been viewed over 25 million times at least. I’m also the Founder & Editor of Gate Access. My unique journey in the travel industry began with an eight-year tenure as a TSA officer, where I gained invaluable insights into airport security and traveler interactions.
My rise to prominence was catapulted by my innovative use of TikTok. My engaging and informative videos on TSA best practices resonated with millions. Despite the challenges I faced with TSA regarding my social media success, my passion for educating travelers led me to make a bold decision: I left my TSA role to dedicate myself fully to Gate Access. This platform continues my mission to empower and inform travelers.
And it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Since I left TSA, I have either worked or been featured in several credible companies and publications, such as Business Insider, Travel & Leisure, The Sun, Expedia, The Points Guy, Travel Noire, Airfordable, and more. My expertise has also been showcased on NBCLX, where I covered holiday travel at the world's busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
