Happy Wednesday. Is an enhanced driver’s license REAL ID compliant? Yes—and that’s a big win. If you already have an enhanced driver’s license (often issued in border states like Michigan or New York), you’re all set.
No need to apply for a new REAL ID.
We’re now just 20 days away from the official enforcement date, and I need you to take this seriously. If your ID doesn’t have a star, or you’re not sure what kind of license you have, now’s the time to double-check. This small detail could be the reason you miss your flight.
Here’s what I can tell you from behind the scenes: TSA officers still don’t have an official protocol for how to handle passengers who show up unprepared, and it’s going to happen a lot. I’ll share any updates as soon as I get them, but in the meantime, make sure you’re prepared.
Double-check your ID now. Better to be annoyed at home than denied at the airport.
